Giant Columbian Ramshorn Snail – Marisa cornuarietis
A striking and unusual freshwater snail, the Giant Columbian Ramshorn is instantly recognisable by its large, spiral shell, deep gold caramel colours and bold striped patterning. Much larger and chunkier than standard ramshorn snails, these make a real feature in the aquarium and are fascinating to watch as they cruise around the tank.
They are excellent scavengers, happily clearing leftover foods, soft algae and decaying organic matter. Unlike many smaller ramshorns, however, Giant Columbian Ramshorns can also eat live plants, particularly softer species, so they are best suited to unplanted tanks or aquariums where a little plant nibbling isn’t a concern.

Diet: Omnivorous – algae, vegetables, sinking foods and organic matter
Temperament: Peaceful
As with all snails, they appreciate reasonably hard, mineral-rich water to maintain a strong, healthy shell.
Breeding
To breed you will need both male & female, they lay eggs in a jelly type substance ,depositing eggs, around the surface, eggs can easily be removed to avoid over Populating
