The Blue Grass Guppy (Poecilia reticulata) is a stunning variety of guppy, admired for its vibrant metallic blue body and beautifully patterned tail, which resembles delicate blades of grass. Peaceful, hardy and full of personality, these colourful livebearers make an excellent choice for both beginners and experienced fishkeepers. These are pure strain guppies so best kept as the only guppies to keep the colour strain pure.
Blue Grass Guppies are active swimmers that thrive in planted aquariums with open areas for swimming. Males display their best colours when kept in stable water conditions and alongside compatible tank mates. As omnivores, they enjoy a varied diet of quality flakes or micro pellets, supplemented with frozen, live and vegetable-based foods to maintain their health and vivid colouration.
