Kuhli Loach

The Kuhli Loach is a peaceful, eel-like freshwater fish loved for its distinctive banded pattern and quirky personality. Naturally found in Southeast Asia, these fascinating bottom dwellers spend much of their time weaving through plants, wood, leaf litter, and caves in search of food.

Best kept in groups of at least 6 or more, Kuhli Loaches become far more confident and active when housed with their own kind. They are completely peaceful, making them an excellent addition to community aquariums alongside small fish, shrimp, and other gentle species.

Although often shy during the day, well-settled Kuhlis are surprisingly active, especially around feeding time and in the evening. A soft sand substrate is highly recommended, allowing them to burrow naturally without damaging their delicate barbels.
