L236RB Basic Pleco – Hypancistrus sp. L236
The L236 RB is a striking line-bred Hypancistrus, selectively bred for its bold black-and-white patterning and increased white coverage. Each fish develops its own individual markings, making these stunning plecos especially appealing to collectors and breeders.
A relatively small pleco, L236RB is best kept in warm, clean, highly oxygenated water with plenty of caves and hiding places. They are generally peaceful with other fish, although mature males may become territorial around breeding caves.

Diet: Omnivorous, with a preference for protein-rich foods. Offer quality sinking pleco foods alongside frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworm and insect larvae.

Unlike standard L236, the RB line has been selectively bred over generations for enhanced white patterning, so markings and white coverage will naturally vary between individual fish.
