Mixed Nerite Snails
Our Mixed Nerite Snails are a colourful assortment of beautiful algae-eating snails, with each one displaying its own unique shell pattern and markings. No two are exactly alike, making them a fantastic addition to both planted and aquascaped aquariums.
Renowned as one of the best natural algae grazers available, nerites help keep glass, décor and hardscape clean by feeding on soft algae and biofilm without harming healthy plants. They are peaceful, completely reef-safe in freshwater aquariums, and are ideal companions for community fish, shrimp and other invertebrates.
As these are sold as a mixed selection, shell colours, patterns and species may vary depending on current availability. Every snail is hand-selected to ensure it is healthy and active.

Aquatic Bliss Tip: Nerite snails thrive in mature aquariums with a good supply of natural algae and biofilm. In very clean tanks, supplement their diet with quality algae wafers, fresh green veg and a source of regular calcium, we use cuttlefish and mineral blocks at Aquatic Bliss to keep them in excellent condition. While they may lay small white eggs, these will not hatch in freshwater, so they won’t overrun your aquarium.
