Papua Blueberry Snail

The Papua Blueberry Snail is a rare and unusual freshwater snail, admired for its beautiful blue to purple body, delicate golden speckling and warm reddish-brown shell. Its unusual colouring and peaceful nature make it a fascinating addition to a mature aquarium.
Blueberry Snails are gentle grazers that spend their time feeding on biofilm, soft algae and naturally occurring organic matter. They should not be expected to survive on algae alone, so their diet should be supplemented with quality shrimp or snail foods, algae wafers, botanicals and occasional blanched vegetables.
They prefer warm, stable water with a neutral to alkaline pH and sufficient calcium and minerals to support healthy shell growth. Avoid housing them with aggressive fish or known snail-eating species. Blueberry Snails are livebearers and reproduce slowly, so they are unlikely to overpopulate the aquarium.
