Similis Cory

The Similis Cory is a beautiful and peaceful little catfish, best known for its softly patterned body and distinctive dark patch at the base of the tail. Subtle at first glance but full of charm, they become increasingly confident and active once settled into a suitable group.
As highly social fish, they should be kept in groups of at least six, with larger groups encouraging more natural shoaling, foraging and resting behaviour. A soft sand substrate is strongly recommended so they can safely sift through the bottom without damaging their delicate barbels.
Similis Corys are well suited to calm community aquariums with plenty of open floor space, plants, wood and shaded areas. Feed a varied diet of quality sinking foods alongside frozen or live foods, ensuring they receive their own meals rather than relying on leftovers.
