Giant White Hercules Snail
Brotia herculea
An impressive freshwater snail with a beautifully elongated, pale spiral shell. The Giant White Hercules Snail is a peaceful scavenger that spends its time grazing on biofilm, soft algae and leftover food, making it an interesting and useful addition to a mature aquarium.
Despite its dramatic appearance, this gentle giant will not bother fish, shrimp or other peaceful tank mates. It appreciates plenty of natural grazing and should be offered additional sinking foods, vegetables and calcium-rich foods to maintain healthy shell growth.
