Himalayan Rabbit Snail – Tylomelania marwotoae
The Himalayan Rabbit Snail is a striking and unusual freshwater snail, featuring a beautifully patterned, elongated shell and an inquisitive, elephant-like face. Despite its trade name, this species originates from Lake Mahalona in Sulawesi, Indonesia.
Peaceful and slow-moving, these snails spend their time exploring the substrate and grazing on soft algae, biofilm, decaying plant matter and leftover food. They are suitable for planted community aquariums and will not rapidly overpopulate the tank, producing only one live young at a time.

Diet: Omnivorous – algae, biofilm, sinking foods, fresh green vegtables and vegetable-based foods
Suitable For: Mature freshwater community and shrimp aquariums
